Sleeping arrangements for 12 month baby

We're going on holiday when our baby is 12 months old. What should we take for baby to sleep in? We were thinking of putting their (adult size) mattress on the floor, but then wouldn't they be at risk of rolling off? How has/does everyone else sleep their older baby om holiday?

Travel cot until they were at the point of tipping it over. Then normal bed with bed guard.

Travel cot. Normally the destination has provided it, otherwise we have taken the little life arc 2 which is like a little tent.
