Hi there

Im on maternity leave and want to catch some sun before our just turned 4 year old starts school - we also have a young baby.

We have done an All inclusive in Greece which was lovely but expensive. Although sun would be great I don’t necessarily need a beach holiday but would be happy going somewhere else like a city break or somewhere in Italy.

but I do want it to be abroad - I love staycations but it’s all we have done for a long time now.

any ideas appreciated. Budget max £2k (although pricey). Length of holiday - long weekend to 4 nights max.

so far thoughts include Spanish Island, somewhere nice in Italy or France eg lakes, puglia - is this doable? Portugal or even Copenhagen?

i have limited knowledge of how the above are for small children

Balearics.

Wouldn't fancy a city break with small kids tbh!

We just did Jupiter albufeira with our 3 year old and 8 month old and it was fab. No time difference to contend with, short flight, child friendly.

You can’t get much more child friendly than Royal Son Bou. It won’t break the bank either.

Menorca is great for young children. The cities Cuitadella and Mahon are interesting for day trips & though you say you don't necessarily need beaches, the ones in Menorca are mostly small bays. We loved it there when out 2 oldest DCs were 2yo & 10 months old.
