Passport office appointment. No confirmation received

Hi,
I booked a fast track appointment online for my two children to get their first passports. The appointment is for next week. The payment has left my account but I haven’t received confirmation. I’ve phoned the office 4 times and each time they’ve advised they will email confirmation over within 48 hours but if I don’t receive anything I should still attend my appointment without it. Slightly worried about attending and being turned away without the confirmation. Has anyone else had a similar experience ?

Which passport office? We went to Durham as Covid was waning; the staff were friendly and helpful. Take proof of application and -dunno how - of promises made re confirmation email? Good luck.

Thank you for replying! Yeah, Durham to. Did you have confirmation ? Will turn up anyway but worried about getting turned away.

Sorry: can't remember. (The struggle to get an acceptable photo has scarred me for ever, though!) Leave yourself plenty of time; parking and then walking there took longer than expected. But staff were kindly. There's a nearby place for coffee - you can't miss it. Hope all goes well.
