do you take your own sweets/drinks to the cinema??

i always put a few choccie bars and a bottle of water in my handbag but i might think twice now. read this

yes I most certaionly do. Took a group of girls recently, one of them wanted to buy four regular cokes which came to just under £12.

or what about kiddie backpacks? i often hide stuff in ds' bob the builder backpack and let him carry it

I'd walk out of any cinema that tried to search me and get my money back.

I have always taken my own, I once took sandwiches at a lunchtime showing. There is no way I would purchase any food at the cinema. I don't know why it is in such huge quantities, the amount of popcorn is obscene-you only need about a tenth of it! When the DCs were younger had small cartons of apple juice and a very small treat so that they didn't even think about buying any.I carry a large handbag. If they are going to search bags I would put it in my pockets.
