Fancy Finding me a Holiday?

Nicoti · 19/05/2023 19:35

If anyone fancies a challenge?

Looking for 7-10 nights abroad for me and dp. Very easy about where. In June.

Budget for flights is flexible (no more than £800 each). Hotel we would ideally spend around £100-£150 a night. Looking for something nice with good service. We tend to prefer smaller hotels, but not set in stone.

We like snorkelling, historic sites, good beaches, and nice food.

I’m too lazy but where would you fly from? Would you want AI?

We've been looking at activity holidays in Montenegro and Croatia! Explore etc seem to have nice ones.
Activities booked in, plus time to laze by the pool/beach.

Lindos in Rhodes would be my go to. Some lovely small hotels and an acropolis on your doorstep

Nicoti · 19/05/2023 19:52

Lindos is lovely isn't it! We've been maybe 5 times. Especially like the restaurants with a rooftop where you can see the acropolis and hear the waves of the sea...

Crete might be an option if you haven't been. Lots of options for package deals especially if you go B and B. Elounda is very pretty. And loads of great food and sightseeing.

Does depend where you are flying from but I can recommend four recent trips that would fit your budget and other criteria.

1)fly to split, Croatia - stay in nice hotel there for a couple of days. Do some sightseeing, go to the beach etc. Then get the ferry to the island of Brac. We stayed at hotel Osam. Amazing cycling, walking, swimming (so of the best sea water I have ever swam in). Great food and good value for money (much more affordable than Dubrovnik). Weather in June should be perfect.

2)fly to Antalya,Turkey rent a car. Stay at pension Simona (very basic but nice rooms) and an incredible setting and restaurant. Then on to hotel Fidanka, more upmarket, small adult only boutique hotel. Lovely beaches nearby.

3)fly to Athens, Greece get ferry to Syros stay in hotel Aristide. Then get ferry to Andros, stay at Onar. Ferry back to Athens, fly home.

  1. fly to Koh Samui, Thailand stay at Napasai. Not sure I would do this for 7/10 days considering the long flights and time difference.

Milos

Stay at nefeli sunset studios. Google it’s trip advisor reviews - it’s outstanding and about your budget.

Beautiful non touristy Greek island. Small complex of stunning rooms, walking distance to the beautiful town of polonia Best beaches you’ll ever see and not crowded. Stunning.
