Insurance after a heart attack

Just happened to a friend. Has had 1 stent in but waiting for the other to be done. Anyone know of any insurers who might say yes to cover her end of June? TIA

If she has current insurance, ring them and explain. It's pretty easy to do - they will either say over phone or might say need a couple of days to check. If she doesn't have insurance then only thing to do is ring round some - might require a specialist who deals with medical conditions. I'm not sure the comparison sites will cope with it but you can try.

The current stent will be fine (might result in increased premium but will be fine). Not sure about the one waiting for - that's one where likely only specialist would take it.

DH had recent diagnosis which we thought would affect insurance. He has annual insurance with saga and they were fine even though his condition not yet resolved. Premium went up by £50

Thanks. I don't think she had insurance in place already and she has been phoning around, don't know any specialist ones but we will keep looking. I'll try her to try Saga and hope your husband is ok - great you can go on holiday!!

I had open heart surgery relatively recently and found all clear insurance good for both prior and after (for travel insurance).
