Land of Legends (Turkey) stay there or day trip?

Hi everyone

I have 3 DC aged 7-13 and we are planning to visit Antalya later on in the year. They really want to stay at Land of Legends hotel which looks amazing but after reading recent reviews online it has put me off. The hotel is All Inclusive and we would be staying for only 3 nights. However, recent reviews state that the AI concept basically just includes breakfast and dinner with very limited options for lunch and daytime snacks. There are also extra charges for fresh orange juice and coffee and at the theme park you are only allowed free water, you have to pay extra for ice cream and slushes (which are extortionately priced) etc.

The hotel itself looks really nice and the kids would love it but it is very expensive and at the top end of our budget. I am worried that all these extra costs will soon add up.

I'm now considering if we should stay at another hotel nearby and just visit the land of legends theme park one day from early morning until late at night. This option would save us about £1k.

I'm not sure what I should do? If anyone's been before I would love to hear your thoughts. We can fortunately afford both options but I just find it ridiculous that an AI hotel would have all these extra charges.

Thanks.

Hi, so we stayed at Land of Legends last year, highly recommend it, we didn't pay for alcoholic drinks in the onsite pub and in the hotel including milkshake bar and ice creams. There are lunch options in the theme park a self service buffet style option which we found really good, including drinks also. The hotel is amazing free sweet display in reception which you help yourself too. Themed rooms excellent for kids and you can also catch the daily shuttle to the sister hotel in Balek which is on the beach and total luxury. All food and drinks included here too. The only thing I would say is if you like evening entertainment there is non at Land of Legends apart from nightly parade which, once you've seen it once you wouldn't really want to see again. There are some excellent shops around the complex and restaurants if you don't want to eat in the hotel. If I'm honest I think I'd go for the luxury Balek hotel which has a reciprocal arrangement with Land of Legends to catch dally shuttle and use the theme parks. We found 'On the Beach' to have the best deals for these hotels rather than Jet 2, Tui etc. Good luck with your choice. 👍

Would you say it's worth paying the extra £1k for?

I'm not sure of the price difference but the sister hotel is Rixos premium Balek, which gives you entry to Land of Legends and free shuttle daily. I think if its luxury your after I'd stay here, however if its experience your after then Land of Legends is better. :)

Thanks for your responses.

I just wanted the holiday to be really memorable for the kids.
