Any suggestion of where to stay in Cascais? Any good apartment hotels, airbnbs? Things to do and see?

Anyone that’s been as a family holiday and has any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, we went to Cascais on a family holiday in 2018.

The hotel we stayed at seems to have closed so can't help in that respect but we really liked Cascais.
It's a lovely town so we spent a few days at the beach / walking around, we hired bikes one day and cycled up the coast- the coast line is stunning, and chilled out at the hotel pool a couple of days. The town has a good choice of restaurants and cafes.
One day we got the train to Lisbon (very cheap and straightforward) and spent the day there- aquarium in the morning and wondering around in the afternoon, and we loved Lisbon as well.

Went some years ago and had a fab holiday. Stayed at the Grande Real villa Italia. Highly recommend it

Went and can't remember where we stayed but it was a lovely spot. We also took the train to Lisbon for a day and also to another lovely village between there and Lisbon...someone here will know the name. We also rented bikes and there was a great..safe..cycle path all along to coast which we loved. Nice restaurants and just a very pleasant place. You will have a great holiday

Cascais is lovely. We did a two centre trip last year of 4 nights in Cascais followed by 10 nights in Port de Pollenca.
Lovely trip - I would definitely go back to Cascais again.
We stayed in this apartment - it's available on several booking sites but strangely was cheapest on AirBnb (usually I find AirBnb to be a lot more expensive due to the fees etc.).

We only had 4 days so didn't make it to Sintra, but got the train into Lisbon for a day - pottered about there & brought the kids to the aquarium etc.
That apartment is literally a 5 min walk from the train station.
It's just a nice town to stroll around - the marina area is nice too.
Did not get to try all of the restaurants that we planned to but ate in Moules & Gin, Gastronomia Italiano and Soya Noodle bar - all decent.
