Hi,

I'm not sure if this is where I should be posting my question.

I live in Dubai, and summer's finally over and I'm going to be a SAHM after Xmas. I would like to know what outside the home activities and I do with my 7mth old daughter and where I can find them.

Are there mums & tots group and what happens during these gatherings?

I noticed that there are a few mums living in Dubai and would appreciate some help.

Thanks!

Hi Catherine! Me again
Did you read the post I got recommending that I check out expatmum.com? (Hope you didn't tell me about it or I'll feel very stupid!)
Anyway, I did and it seems very useful for someone in your situation as most of the mothers seem to be in your part of the world (unfortunately noone in my part of the world to play with..!)

Yeah, I checked it out and posted that question there as well, hopefully someone's able to help.

Thanks.

Catherine, me again, I was a sahm when we first arrived here, there is a playgroup at the Goldensands 1 apartment, there are toys to play with and they have a little sing along at the end, tea and coffe and it was a good way to meet other mums, I think it was Sunday, Monday and Wednesday, will check the details and get back to you. I used to take my ds to Toby's in the Burjaman centre, but he was 2 at the time, there is a small play area for little ones ball pit and slide and also a coffe area for mums to sit and watch. Will try and remember where else we used to go and get back to you. I work full time now and ds goes to nursery which he loves. The people that run expatmum/women have a coffee morning once a month, have never been but it is supposed to be agreat way to meet other mums and tots

Cat me if I can be of help.

Thanks!

I've started to make contact with the mum/tot groups through the expatmum.com site.

I am moving to Dubai soon and we are renting an apartment in Dubai Marina. I am looking for ways to entertain my 1 year old daughter in Dubai. I believe there was a gymborees club but it has closed down. Any suggestions for where to take my little one in Dubai (the addresses would also be useful too). Thank you.
