Long Haul for 7 nights

Would I be crazy to go long haul for 7 nights?

Want to go away somewhere tropical like the Maldives or the Caribbean, but only have 7 nights off work.

We have done maldives for 7 nights but it doesn't seem long enough. Especially when you land in Male then you have a few hours wait for a sea plane / boat .... it's clocking on 25/ 26 hrs travel door to door (we live super close to Heathrow)

Also, think of when your going - rainy season etc. Maldives is best Nov - March.
But Maldives was manageable for 7 nights.

We once went to cancun for 7 nights omg the jet lag - I wouldn't do US - it took me 1.5 weeks to turn the time around.

Dubai is fun and easy ... nice for a week break - nice hotels / food / swimming pools / service

I wouldn’t usually but have done Mauritius for a week and enjoyed it. Both overnight direct flights and no time difference.

A work trip to China with added jet leg was much more exhausting and I wouldn’t be keen to do it again.

We are doing the Dominican Republic for 7 nights. We’re out off the Maldives because of the travel time but would love to go there f we had 10 days.

I would if a direct flight and not too bad time difference. I doubt I'd like the price tho!

Some Greek islands are beautiful, especially if you base yourself in a resort hotel in the right months and I bet it'll be a great deal cheaper.

Whether we go for one, two weeks or 10 days we usually get some get lag anyway! So yes I would and often do go for a week.
Up to 9 hrs max though (Caribbean, Eastern USA, Canada etc)

I went to Bangkok for 6 nights earlier this year and thought it was fine. The key is to get good flight times, eg arrive at your destination late afternoon so you can go straight to sleep as soon as you check in (and fly business class if your budget allows). I loved it and would do it again!
