We stayed in the Pacific International apartments on George Street (now rebranded as Break Free on George) in Nov 06 when we came on holiday prior to emigrating. We had three kids with us. The apartments were well located which really turned out to be the main thing. They are on the edge of Chinatown and not far from Darling Harbour. Staff were friendly and helpful. The only drawback I can think of with a 10 month old is the fact that they had balconies which you could access so obviously you would have to be careful to keep the doors closed, but tbh most city apartments will have as most people want the views!

Anywhere in Darling Harbour would also be good with a little one and there are a lot is a lot of holiday accommodation there. Let's hope it stops raining by then! I have felt so sorry for people here on holiday paying top dollar for peak season flights and the weather has been crap.

We're off to Oz in July and we're staying in apartments in Sydney, booked through Trailfinders. I can't remember what they're called, but they did have several, so why not try their website?

We stayed in Sydney at Christmas with 3 kids. Stayed at Rendezvous Stafford hotel in the Rocks - brilliant location, lovely room with kitchenette and child-safe balcony overlooking opera house, very near circular quay. I researched this a lot, and was delighted with our choice.

No idea what its like but it sounds nice, Curl Curl is not far out of sydney central.

The people that own it are british as well, not sure if that makes any difference.

Just wanted to add that the apartment that we are staying in North Curl Curl, see link above is great, 3 bedrooms, small garden, very clean and everything you could need.

The area a block or two north of Chinatown is quite dodgy (some poor Korean students were stabbed there last night) so do be careful if you are considering Chinatown/Haymarket/World Square. The Rocks is beautiful and totally safe.

We generally use apartmentservice.com.au - they have quite a range.

We stayed at Medina Harbourside apartments on Darling Harbour - fantastic for families, close to ammenties, swimming pool, near aquarium and new wildlife park. Near to lots of restaurants - many do takeaways or delivery. Such as wagamamas.

Apartment was well equipted - washing machine and tumble dryer in the apartment, fridge and freezer, microwave and cooker in the kitchen - great to do breakfast and lunches.

Ask for apartment overlooking courtyard - avoids any road noise and lovely at night to sit and have a drink on while the children are in bed.
