NYC

Hi, would a helicopter trip around NYC be totally ridiculous ? Is it actually worth the money? I've not checked to see how much , & if it's £500 then no. It's not happening ...but we are planning a once in a life time trip so want as many experiences as possible.
Also what do I need to book & what can we just turn up to. I don't want a completed prescribed itinerary and like to wander around. But realise that there are so many visitors we may need to organise some stuff. Things like SoL, or if we just want to jump in the ferry to see it, is that ok?
Thanks

You're looking at £200+ per person for a 12-15 minute helicopter flight. We did it a few years ago for my (now) ex's 30th birthday. It was great. Definitely a memorable way of seeing NYC. Obviously there's an element of luck involved in where your seat is in the helicopter (i.e. you might be stuck in the middle rather than next to a window) but still pretty impressive views and a great experience.
