If you had one day at Disneyland Paris

We are thinking of stopping at DLP on our way home from a week in France in summer, early July. The price is pretty eye watering for 4 of us (me, DP, DS 12 and DD 6), so we will probably just do one mega day. We are thinking of staying at a campsite nearby.

What would you prioritise to try and see as much as possible? We’d like to go on some rides, but gentle ones, and see a parade and maybe a show? Small kid likes frozen, big one likes Star Wars (but they are both pretty flexible). Is there anything you bought extra that made it brilliant? Or anything you would avoid?

All top tips greatly appreciated!

Honestly I would split into pairs, do the smaller rides with younger ones, maybe see a Princess theme show. And do the bigger rides with older one, perhaps even using the single rider line to cut down on queue time, in either the star wars theme bit or the Studios.

Yes I'd do this too .

I'll reply properly later!

I’d see the lion king show. It’s the best one by far. The parades and fireworks are amazing. I’d do the 30 year dream and shine brighter parade over the main parade. It’s better. We went this year it’s really amazing. We had 3 days over both parks and it was enough. If you can stretch to 2 days you’ll have plenty of time to do both parks if not then just do the main park and don’t bother with the studios

We holidayed for a week in France last year and then did 2 days in DLP on our way home. If I could give one piece of advice it would be to do it the other way around. Do DLP before going to your main holiday.

Disney is exhausting. Particularly if you're going to do it in one day. You'll need a damn good rest afterwards.

But it's worth it!

To be honest, I’d see if you can save up for the Fast Pass thing if you only have one day. We were there last month for a day and some of the queues were over an hour and a half long, so if we hadn’t had the fast access we would only have managed about three or four rides realistically. Whereas we managed 13!

There's a good Facebook group "Disneyland Paris tips for brits" or something along those lines.

There are two parks- the main one and the studios park (where the frozen show is, but ok this isn't great). If you are doing one day I would just concentrate on the main park.

If you aren't too in to rides you'll have a great time. The app is good for queue times. The parades and shows are brilliant.

It is open until 11pm when they do the fireworks. The rides will be quieter from 8pm onwards.

Thanks all, this looks good. I think we would rather all be together, but will have to look at what is practical and balance that with our ideal. We aren’t that fussed for rides at all really, apart from maybe some teacups type things and maybe the small world one. I really wish there was a cheaper price to go in and walk about and not worry about any rides! We’ve got the app so that will help. I’m thinking now show, parade and some low key rides. Hoping we can make it til 11 for fireworks but we’ll be getting the bus and I don’t know if they run that late. I’ll look into a taxi, does anyone know if there’s a rank outside like at a train station?
