On the Beach & Ryanair

Hi my DD has booked a holiday with friends post A level through OTB.
The flights are Ryanair and there's some convoluted confusing process to access the booking online with Ryanair.

Has anyone successfully managed this and can reassure me it can be done ok? She got so far but then it asked her to confirm the card details that were used to pay were hers and they weren't!! So what does that mean if we say no?!

I am stressed and worried they'll run into problems at the airport if we don't get it sorted. Thanks

She will need the PNR to log onto 'manage my booking' with Ryanair. This is basically the booking reference for the flights. On The Beach should be able to provide them with this. Not sure why it's asking for card details Confused

We had this last year - it was a right faff and I couldn't get into the flight booking - too many pins/reference numbers. It became very stressful. Had to call on the beach who were helpful but it's complicated. It's put me off booking with them again to be honest which is a shame as I used to use them quite a bit.

Thanks, she's got all the logins but now been asked to verify ID which seems ok and then confirm the payment details are hers but they're not, and don't know what will happen if we say so! Will try and call OTB again tomorrow, chat bit dumped us tonight :-(

Hello, I’m having the same thoughts with the payment aspect. Its so frustrating. Do you remember what you had to do in the end please?

Ashew · 08/10/2023 17:22

I am having the exact same issue. I fly tomorrow and OTB contact centre are closed. Do I say that the payment details are mine even if they’re not??

Hereagainforgotmydamnpassword · 08/10/2023 20:39

Hello! I ended up asking Ryanair via their facebook chat and this was the answer “The payment information is just for us to know if the payment method used on the booking is your own, it won't affect you in any case” so I put No to the payment details question and had no issues. Hope this helps x

Ryan air is a nightmare we had issues last year with checking in when we arrived at the airport there was so many complaints

Tatapie · 27/10/2023 20:50

Sorry, to conclude: we phoned OTB who said to say yes they are my details even tho they're not Hmm So that's what we did. Bonkers. I recorded the call just in case! But was all fine. I suspect if you've got a boarding card Ryanair don't worry.

We did this and it was fine. I logged into Ryanair and added and paid for the bags on there as much cheaper than the OTB bags prices.

I have never used On the Beach. If they are a package operator I'm surprised you're having to talk to Ryanair. I have used Ryanair quite a lot. They can be annoying but they are generally very efficient and I have always arrived at my destination mostly on time or thereabouts. The booking procedure with all its options can irritating but I give them money and they get me there and I've never had a major issue.

Favouritefruits · 30/01/2024 19:38

We did it last year no problems at all and have rebooked with OTB for this year, it might be a faff but I’d rather go through all the messing and save myself £500 compared to other companies!

GoThefirst · 30/01/2024 19:42

Seem to remember it being a faf but was fine, I had it on the RyanAir app and the OT B app (and a paper copy 🤣)
