Recommendations for family friendly UK holiday

Please help me find the perfect place! Wishlist is:

  • Cottages/lodges/similar big enough for 4 adults and 7 kids (aged 1-9), or option of 2 next to each other
  • Somewhere in the middle of England, not far south or far north
  • Things to do on-site eg pool, soft play, animals. Not bothered about evening entertainment
  • Things to do nearby

Ideally would be small and personal rather than a big chain.
Tredethick in Cornwall would be absolutely perfect but too far south to travel, basically looking for the same thing but more central.

Really grateful for any recommendations.

Check out Bluestone. It’s in Pembrokeshire so may not be central enough for you but fits all other criteria. They have large lodges sleeping up to 14 and interconnecting ones. Pool and play areas. Animals eg badgers visit site and there is a lake with ducks. Folly Farm is very near for a day out.

Thanks @MidtoLon really keen on this one, just wondering if distance is too far. I'll look into it!
