Turkey AI to suit late teens ?

Riffing from another thread, I was looking for suggestions of AI for two adults and 2 17 year olds please? We would need a gym for them, and ideally a relaxed policy on drink serving - sorry I know that's wrong but happy enough for them to have a few drinks. For the adults really good food would be nice and if possible a heated pool ( but these seem to be in short supply in Turkey).

Any suggestions welcome please for going in October. We hadn't planned to spend megabucks but prepared to pay for good 4 star standard, or hopefully a cheap 5 star. Last year we went to Seaside Los Jameos in Lanzarote and that was perfect.

We went to ol Deniz and it was lovely. Seem to remember the hotel had a dolphin or whale on the front (orca?) Very relaxed and my sons had fun.

Thanks @Stomacharmeleon it looks like the orca which looks great except no gym . Any more ideas gratefully received.

Tui blue grand Azur was great for us

I’m off to Club Tuana, on the outskirts of Fethiye, in a fortnight. It’s possible to visit Fethiye, Calis and Olu Deniz from this hotel. It’s got a gym and has 4 al a carte restaurants plus a buffet. It’s classed as 5* but we got a good deal by booking early £3100 for 2 adults and 2 children at school May half term. It was recommended to me.

Look at Eftalia Aqua Resort in Alanya. There's a few hotels but all share the "island" which has its own (but still part of AI) bars, entertainment etc.

rooroorooroooroo · 15/05/2023 21:03

I hated Club Tuana Blush

It was so dated, food was terrible and lots of grumpy German and Russian people

We came back a bit traumatised. Plus it's in the middle of nowhere

I was so raging at Jet2

rookiemere · 15/05/2023 21:04

Thanks both of those look good and Club Tuana is a reasonable price

If your children are daughters I’d avoid Turkey. The constantly being approached by men who worked at the hotel was awful

Sparklytori · 15/05/2023 21:09

Did club Tuana last summer with husband, 15 year old and 19 year old.
Very very relaxed on the alcohol as you don't get given a wrist band! Plus the spirits are branded!! Smirnoff.. absolute etc.
We found the food a bit samey as was there 2 weeks but couldn't fault the staff, entertainment etc.
Loved the al a carte restaurants

We're going to Barut B Suites in Side. I have a 19 and 14 year old. Ticks all the boxes for me (but definitely not cheap!)

Filterphobia · 15/05/2023 21:19

@rooroorooroooroo When did you go as lots of the rooms have been updated and modernised and you can get an upgraded room for not much more that’s what we’ve done.

Marrymeee · 15/05/2023 21:20

Club Letoonia near Fethiye is amazing.

Didn't have this at all with my then 15yr old....they were all friendly and polite. Even when out on trips..... However dad is rugby built and always close by

rooroorooroooroo · 15/05/2023 21:24

@Filterphobia we were there in October

I'll see if I can find a photo of our room

Perfect that was exactly what I wanted to know, but too embarrassed to ask directly Blush !

Bathroom was nice, to be fair

Reasonably good things in the grounds for the kids - Shrek themed stuff, an aviary and a nice duck pond

I dunno. I've been to Turkey lots and it was by far the worst I've stayed in

But I do really hope you have a lovely time Grin husband has just chirped that it wasn't as bad as I say.. lol

@rooroorooroooroo Don’t worry I’m going in two weeks and will enjoy it no matter what. Plus I’m certain we have the modern room booked so no worries.
Thanks anyway 😊

TUI Blue Sensorati in Fetiye was great. Heated pool. Buffet was a bit samey but there was an Asia restaurant, a Turkish restaurant and an Italian restaurant included in the AI.

Teenagers (17 and 13) enjoyed themselves and hung around the bar and pool table on the beach with other teenagers. Eldest bought himself drinks.

Adult only pool and eating areas but teenagers were allowed in as they were sensible and well behaved.

We stayed at the Asteria Bodrum with Jet2 last year. Had 3 boys with us - 1 preteen, two young adults. Will definitely go back again in the next few years. Couldn’t fault it. It looks like it’s been renamed this year to Selectum Colours Bodrum.

Private beach with jetty (could rent the huts with butler service), big pool, separate pool with a few slides (still fun for teens) and indoor pool with gym. Water sports from the beach, we had a full day boat trip with stop offs to jump in the sea and swim for around £20 each with lunch cooked on board (not great, take drinks from your minibar as chargeable) but water was lovely and encouraged to jump off top deck (with supervision) which my boys loved. Crew were always watching to check everyone was alright and took loads of mid air pics you could buy for a small cost. Real highlight of the trip.

They also stopped near a cliff so some of the more adventurous ones (mine!) could climb up and jump off.

Highly recommend the spa - had Turkish bath, massages and full body treatments for about £50 each. Amazing staff. They did a Turkish bath, massage and chocolate face mask for youngest for about £15 iirc.

Really clean rooms, we had beautiful sea views from both rooms which we didn’t pay extra for, cleaners left heart shaped petals on beds, minibar stocked stocked daily with water, soft drinks and beer. No wristbands for booze. They brought iced coffee and snacks round the pool in the afternoon but also did pancakes and ice cream from the booths on the beach.

Pool cleaner guy was constantly emptying the bins at the pool loungers so no wasps (in late June). Food was varied and fresh. Desserts looked amazing but all tasted the same (small minus) apart from the baklava, which they had many variations on, but loads of fresh fruit though. We had two a la carte meals in different restaurants (included) which was nice.

Staff always watering and looking after the grounds. Figs falling on the walkways were a bit of a hazard though!

Animation team were amazing - pool games, rapping from the stage by the pool (funny), bucking bull competitions, pool volleyball, they’d get us to play cards, boules, beach volleyball, pool exercises and swimming races first thing in the morning but not full on if we didn’t want to. Definitely would suit teens. Music was loud by the pool which we didn’t mind. Games and discos at night and also professional performances in the amphitheatre.

Always got sun loungers and could change pool towels as often as we wanted (got a card on check in for each person).

Didn’t think much of Bodrum but the marina was nice. Too much to do at the resort really so we only went for an afternoon.

Hopefully hasn’t changed too much with the new branding. Been to loads of places, some a lot more expensive, but have to say that one was one of the best.

@SpringViolet just saw your recommendation. Thanks for this
