Place to stay enroute to Calais

Hi, we have a holiday booked in the Dordogne this August, travelling via the tunnel. We have somewhere to stay near St Mans on the way down to break up the journey; for the way back looking for somewhere nearer to Calais as we have quite an early tunnel booked for the following day.
Any recommendations would be very much appreciated.

Le Touquet, Boulogne sur Mer, Montreuil sur Mer, Saint Omer or Saint Valery sur Somme.

We have stayed in St Quentin (hotel Le Florence, cheap and dog friendly!) and at the Ibis in Arras but both are 1.5-2 hours from Calais. A couple of years ago we stayed for a few nights in Boulogne and that was a very quick and easy drive to the tunnel. The old town is really nice.

OP if you mean Le Mans rather than St Mans, make sure you go into the old town. It's amazing!
