Have a 4 night stay booked and wondered if anyone had done similar and what sort of itinerary you had planned or anny places not to miss. Aiming to self drive.

Any tips gratefully received! And also tips on clothes to take!

thanks

Golden Triangle is well worth it. And at least a day in Reykjavik itself.

i really enjoyed the Blue Lagoon and Reykjavik beach (there are hot spring tubs on the beach and in the sea!).

Take a mix of clothing. In July we mostly were in shorts and t-shirts but a couple of days it was hats and gloves.

We enjoyed Jökulsárlón and Diamond Beach the best.

We did a walk into a glacier which was great, and the glacier lake, but that might be too far for just a 4 day visit.
Golden triangle obviously.

If you want to be more active, I strongly recommend going on a riding tour on the Icelandic Horses - great fun. Last time we went we also snorkelled between the tectonic plates in Silfra. Totally amazing!
