Cologne/Bonn airport

Hey, has anyone flown using Cologne airport in Germany? It has awful reviews but it is very close to where I need to be so would make things easier. I'm not well travelled so any advice appreciated. Thanks

My parents live nearby and I always use it. It's perfectly fine. I've never had an issue with it 🤷‍♀️ai didn't know it has bad reviews. For what? It's a perfectly fine airport.

I used it a few times last year for work travel. It's not great, not much in terms of food or shops after security. Also, each time I was there last year they accepted cash only and there's no cash point after the security. But it's fine for arrivals, not that busy when I've been, and guess for departures if you eat beforehand.

It's fine, not luxurious, but absolutely fine.

Cologne is fine! Flown in and out often when I lived in Germany.

Perfectly ok for a regional airport.

Flown in and out many times.
Lots of delays after covid due to staff shortages but much better now.
Otherwise quick service, easy train to Cologne or bus to Bonn.
Ticket 1b gets you to Cologne

That's reassuring thank you! I was looking at google and a fair few said to avoid at all costs so glad everyone thinks it is ok.

It was bad last summer when there were delays and issues with staff, but Düsseldorf was no better. It’s fine now, I fly there quite a bit for work. It’s relatively small, but fine, easy to navigate and easy to get to Cologne.
