Let's face it, holidaying with kids isn't always a breeze. Days on holiday are not much different to days at home - except it's warmer, there's a lot more ice cream involved, and late nights might throw your kid's bedtime routine out of whack. Whether you're off to a sunny beach or exploring a new city, keeping your kids entertained and comfortable is key to everyone's sanity. Luckily, there's an arsenal of products and ingenious hacks out there that can be real lifesavers.

For those of you planning your trip this year, please do share your must-haves when travelling with kids - our aim is to create a thread where parents can find everything they need 💐

I'll start. Last year during our tip to Greece, DH and I found the following items to be a huge help when travelling with our (then) 2yo and 9mo...

A rechargeable clip-on stroller fan, like this one (the one we ordered is no longer available, but this is a great alternative): https://www.argos.co.uk/product/2071776

A shelter for the beach (great for letting DC nap in and out of the sun): https://www.argos.co.uk/product/8018197

We used a beach blanket between our sunbeds for our 9mo to prevent him from touching the hot floor: https://www.johnlewis.com/dock-bay-quick-dry-round-beach-blanket-unicorn-waves/p5831652

oh love this as I'm planning to travel with DC who are a little bit older this year. When they were babies, i found a busy board very helpful for the car and plane for entertaining them

Something like this one (the one I found was in The Works years ago)

Hoping someone can help me.. has anyone ever flown with those plane bedboxes and are they worth investing in for older kids?

Thanks for sharing @sborber!

I personally haven't tried a bedbox, so also interested in hearing feedback from others.
