Has anyone been? Do you need entertainment passes? Are they expensive? Is it worth it?

Yes we’ve been. I can’t remember how much the passes were as it was a couple of years ago we went. There wasn’t a massive amount of entertainment to be honest though. I think you’d be fine without them.

There isn’t much to do outside of the resort, it’s literally in the middle of the fens.

Ok thanks

Depends on the sports/activities they want to do and how old they are

Usually they send a list or there is a website you can log on to - Awayresorts

Are they happy with pools/playground or want to do more? The coast is only 45 mi a and there is cinema & bowling a few miles away

RAF Coningsby, Tattershall Castle, Tattershall Farm Park all really close and Lincoln about half an hour away

If you book direct with Away Resorts then you get activity passes included. It’s a great holiday park.

If you are booking through a private owner then beware. Your booking is with them and not Away Resorts so if you have any problems then it’s the owner you deal with and not Away Resorts. When covid happened if you had booked direct with AR then you got an automatic full refund. Some private owners refused to refund and people were left out of pocket. (Sorry, a bit of an aside).

Woodhall Spa is only 3 or 4 miles away and is worth visiting.

It is famous for its golf courses but there are other activities as well. It has a lovely outdoor pool in Jubilee Park. It has the Tea House in the woods, the Kinema (worth visiting for novelty value alone) and a range of nice independent shops.

I was just looking the other day. Entertainment pass was about £110 a week for a 6 person accommodation.

We went last year on a last minute, midweek break and it was nice but loud. Military jets fly over head all hours of the day and night! It is in easy reach of Lincoln though which is a lovely city.

Fizzyfishy · 05/05/2023 17:31

Depending on the RAF flying hours it can be noisy day and night. As many people love that as hate it!

RovenderKitt · 05/05/2023 17:31

Tattersall Castle is right next door, brilliant small castle, been there many times (brought up very nearby). The music in the bar at Tattershall Lakes is LOUD - people were leaving, covering babies’ ears etc because it was ridiculous. They may have turned it down since then as it was about 5 years ago that I went

wormshuffled · 05/05/2023 17:42

You need them for the pool, pub and arcade if I remember rightly. You also couldn't do a lot of the booked activities without one for example climbing challenges etc.

The park itself is nice but there are lots of groups on holidays, we were next to 7 drunk women in the hot tub until 2am. Hot tub was basically next to my bedroom window. I could here every word/screech.

Sorry replying super late on this. We went a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it (it was around Christmas time and they had so many cute things on for the kids).

I wondered did you end up going? if so what did you think/ would you recommend anywhere else over this site?
