Dog has just had a nice chew on mine 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

We go away on 30th June. I read they're taking up to 10 weeks but wondered if anyone has actually had to get one recently and how long you waited ?

Mine was quick - around two weeks I think. Applied at the start of April and I’ve had the new one for a couple of weeks now.

TheOriginalNutty · 30/04/2023 23:55

Ah thanks @VashtaNerada, praying mine is as quick.

I got mine in a few days but paid extra for the quick service. You could always do that if necessary.

Just renewed my kids' passports and was surprised that there seemed to be no delay at all, took about 2 weeks for each and we live outside UK.

LongStoryLong · 01/05/2023 00:23

My DC’s (in March) also came in 2 weeks start to finish. It’s our third passport application in the last year, and they’ve all been super quick, no problems at all.

ScribblingPixie · 01/05/2023 00:24

Two weeks last month.

TwaddleTwaddle · 01/05/2023 07:42

Believeinmarmite · 01/05/2023 07:51

About 3 weeks, new passport arrived this week.

Runningslow · 01/05/2023 07:53

Sent two on the same day - end of March, one arrived start of April, the other is yet to arrive. Different passport offices.

annonymousmouseinyourhouse · 01/05/2023 12:01

A week.

Thisisnotmyname2022 · 01/05/2023 12:14

We sent ours after the strike started… the first week, so had the Easter bank holiday. Had it back last week. Applied online and posted the old passport the day before Good Friday.

roundofapplause · 01/05/2023 12:17

3 weeks for renewal of both my DD's

UpWhenItsDown · 01/05/2023 12:19

One took 10 days, the other 3 weeks. That was at the end of March.

RubyMurry22 · 01/05/2023 12:21

I renewed online and sent my old one in the first day of the strike and got my new one in 15 days.

TheOriginalNutty · 01/05/2023 14:22

Brilliant 🤩

Thanks all. Will apply for a new one today

I came on to ask the same question so thank you for this thread. Fingers crossed for both of us that our new passports come quickly!

thesugarbumfairy · 02/05/2023 12:35

Mine took two weeks. I applied on 11th April so after the strike started.

LoveBannaSplits · 02/05/2023 22:28

Hi, I ended up sending mine in paper form via the post office as their digital service was nit available, i requested a renewl and name change thecpost office sebt it off on the 4th April and i received it back by the 22nd April , you can fast track which costs more money, they assured me that the strikes are not affecting their service, i am very impressed with the quick service 😀
