Phuket hotel

I am looking for a hotel in Phuket that would suit a party aged between 12 and 78. Would like to be on a beach and not too resorty and big. Nothing too basic due to the age of some but not Six Senses/Rosewood prices. It's for December so know it will be peak season.

The Anantara is lovely (I’ve never stayed in peak season so not certain on pricing then)

We stayed at the Angsana Laguna in Bang Tao. It was lovely, not rowdy and central for excursions.
