Cheap Villa for a week - does it exist?

My son has severe special needs so can't take him to a cheap all inclusive (he would constantly be after peoples drinks!)

All I'm looking for on holiday is access to a pool, just a pool to play in all day. Easy access to a beach would also be nice as my DS loves sand. A local supermarket also good idea as I'd rather just get taxi to and from airport and that'll be it

DD would come too, she's 2

Does anything like this exist on the cheaper side? Don't care where, as long as it's a 'safe' country. I speak Spanish so bonus for a Spanish speaking country but not essential

What do you call cheap? Villas tend to be cheaper outside the main Summer holiday period and then get more and more expensive mid June to mid Sept.
Without knowing your type of budget it’s difficult to really answer.

But obviously you’ve still got flights and taxi to and from airport. Some villas also ask for a damage deposit.

(Don’t know if that one meets all your list but is cheap!)

@Heroicallyfound yes it does and thank you, that was my thread Grin

We've stayed here before and it is probably decent value for a villa. We only paid about £500 but that was out of season so it's likely to cost more in the school holidays. You can book direct or via various package operators which might actually work out cheaper than booking separately, especially if the transfer is included.

Ticks all your boxes in terms of the beach, marina and restaurants are a few minutes walk away and there's a large convenience store, a bakery and a playground even closer. Only negative point is that the pool isn't heated but that might not matter if you go in summer.

We regularly do this in fuerteventura. Had various villas via booking.com. Our requirements are bigger than yours as we have more DC but we go between Oct - April and is considerably cheaper than height of season. Caleta de Fueste is 10 mins from the airport and has a selection of villas, easy restaurants and supermarkets.

I agree that you can get cost effective villas in The Canary Islands (relative to say Menorca). But the flights are longer and tend to be more expensive than flights to say mainland Spain. As always, if you need the school holidays the flights have a premium attached to them.

We've actually found flights to the Canaries are the same or even cheaper than the Med. Once we went to Lanzarote for £30 return, hand luggage only. Eating/drinking out is cheaper too. We've been to Canaries and Balearics many times and the latter have been noticeably more expensive in all aspects.

I agree the Canary Islands, particularly Fuerteventura and Lanzarote have relatively cheap villas compared to eg. the Med or Portugal

I'm currently in a 4 beautiful bedroomed villa in Crete that I somehow snagged for £160 a night. Private pool, 5 minutes from the beach. Booking.com is definitely your friend, if you shop around and filter carefully you can find some real bargains.
