South of France with small children - recommendations?

Hi everyone,

We are planning a trip to the south of France next April for DH's 40th. We live in the south of Germany and will be driving (around 10-11 hours).
Our boys will be nearly 4 and 15 months when we go.

We're looking for somewhere with a nice beach, where we can go on easy walks/hikes, that has parks for the boys. Basically just somewhere little kid friendly where we can relax and do a lot outside in the sun. We're planning now in order to budget and save.

Would appreciate any recommendations you might have that suit what we're looking for. I've not spent much time in France so don't know it very well.

Thanks everyone!

There’s a lovely campsite at Argeles Sur Mer which has a covered, heated kids splash pool - essential at that time of year! It’s called La Sirene and it has a playground too.

Oh perfect, thank you. I will have a look at this

You can’t beat Eurocamp for a great child centred holiday. There’s one here that we loved.

@Sundaystorm thank you! Funnily enough, I've been researching eurocamp the past week and we've decided on one in South France :) we're going to book for 14 nights next May when the new prices are released. Reassuring to read your recommendation for it!

I had many happy holidays here as a child in the 90s :)

@Sundaystorm This is great thank you. I'm keeping a note of sites that look good so I'll add these, love the look of the first you sent especially.

Nice to hear! I'm hoping to give the kids the same kind of memories

Bumping for the just-returned crowd - any big hits from this summer?
