2 bedroom rooms package holiday

Hi Ladies

Currently researching holidays for 2024 and would like to book either a 2 bedroom room or a room where the bed has some privacy for our DD age 12.

Our recent holiday to club med had a bed with a curtain and it was a godsend for our very shy daughter.

Struggling to find websites where this is a search option. Even Junior Suites do not give clarification on their photos.

Does anyone have any tips please?

Regency Country club in Tenerife has 2 bed apartments and Iberostar Anthelia- also in Tenerife offers interconnected rooms as does hotel Botanico in North of the island.

We've never shared with DS and it just takes a bit more research- sometimes emailing the hotel to check the arrangements- to get something suitable.

We are off to Spain this summer after a aimilsr quest lead us to finding here with Jet2 after a recommendation on MN.

Otherwise, just placemarking for other ssuggestions

We have stayed in plenty of places with 2 bedrooms, in Greece Kalamki, Lanzarote, Playa Blanca, Majorca, Cala D'Or. Even when DC were tiny I didn't want to be all crammed in one room.
I presume you want hotel not self catering? Just put 2 bedrooms into your search.

Thank you, this is my point ... how do you put 2 bedrooms in your search? I can't see how on the likes of Tui and Jet2.

Try putting 4 adults in to one room. That will throw up hotels with two bedroom apartments, you can then refine back.

You need to put 1 room, as connecting rooms are treated as 1 room, and then look at the room options.

I'm the filter part you can request the amount of rooms. If you put 2 you be allocated 2 separate rooms when what you want is a connecting room with an interconnecting door you can leave open or closed for privacy. Or you want a room with 2 separate bedrooms. Our room in Liberty Lykia had this plus a living room.

We stayed at the Riu Buenavista in Tenerife and it seemed like many rooms were doubles. I’m not sure if we were in an upgraded room to get this but we definitely didn’t pay for 2 rooms.

You entered into one bedroom where the toilet and bathroom (separate rooms which might work quite well if you were all sharing - although no sink in the toilet 😕) were accessed, as was the second bedroom. There was no direct access from the second bedroom to the bathroom so you might have to think about who goes in which room for privacy. TV’s in both rooms.

It was a good, clean, modern hotel with several restaurants but my only niggle was the way the sunbeds were laid out in mostly regimented rows under a canopy and we did become Brits abroad claiming our sunbeds at dawn as a result. This was my first time in the Canaries so I’m not sure if that’s commonplace.

I think I put 1 bedroom in the initial search and chose a 2 bedroom option from the room upgrade selection. Booked through Jet2.

Thank you, just had a thought, going to try putting self catering in the option (even though I don't want this but may then be able to choose alternative board basis) as these will likely have a separate room.

Booking 2 rooms inter connected will likely take it out of my budget.

Searching for 6 adults will often bring up self catering accommodation with 2 bedrooms (they assume 1 couple in each bedroom and 1 on bed settee in the lounge. Then double check using the hotels own website or tripadvisor. I often email a hotel i like to see if they have 2 bedroom accommodation, or interconnecting rooms.
Another way is to use booking. com, then search for that hotel in Google to see if comes up as part of a package holiday.
Holiday providers such as TUI etc., may only have certain rooms allocated for their use, so you might not see everything a hotel has to offer by only using their websites to search.
It's all a bit long winded, but getting the accommodation right is really important to us as a family so worth it.

Fodele Beach hotel in Crete has two bed family suites. Ours had a massive walk in wardrobe and two bathrooms. And a small terrace. I think they have way more luxurious options too.

If you're looking for something less expensive Isabel hotel Costa Adeje has one bed apartments and do AI.

We've had interconnected rooms at the Iberostar Bouganville Playa in Tenerife. It meant we had two bathrooms too which was great with preteens who take ages!

Blue Lagoon Resort Kos have two bed family rooms. Lovely resort.

Kusadasi Golf and Spa resort in Turkey have two bedroom apartments and it's AI. Really lovely.

Is very labour intensive but you just have to go onto the holidays you like the sound of and then check their rooms to see what is available, that's what I do.
