Making a long haul flight more comfortable when you are tall

We are flying long haul soon on Emirates, first time ever. 2 adults of normal height plus our 14yo who is 6ft 3 and growing. Any tips for making it more comfortable? I’ve just read the thread about premium economy and am worried that it will be awful for ds!

book extra legroom or bulkhead seat for extra space

Haven't read that thread, but DH and I have flown PE plenty of times - he's about that height and always been fine.

DH is 6'6" and we travel economy long haul every year - 10 hour flights. It is squashed but fine. I 'donate' a little 'spare' legroom to him (DC are 5'10" and 5'11" now!). It is 'fine'. DH zones out and binges on films and his endless spotify playlists. It is a means to an excellent holiday - focus on the destination. DH did have a moan once so I reminded him of my 48 hour labour and how we can all do things we don't really like to get the things we want 😆

DH is 6’3 and we always fly economy including long haul overnight. He gets the aisle seat and also nicks some of my leg space (5’3 here). He’s always been fine.

He’s just come off a business class flight (with flatbed) having done his back in, so paying more doesn’t necessarily mean avoiding discomfort…!

Think it depends on many things not just height, me and my brother both born with a decent bum so add a few more inches on when sitting lol. Even on buses at 5ft10 my knees hit the front seat. Next door is about the same height don't have that problem as has a flat bum.
