Flight cancellation

I have flights booked this summer during the school holidays to Alicante with Tui. Unfortunately we can no longer go on this holiday but our flights are non refundable. The passenger names can be changed. Has anyone found a place where flights can be sold on at a discounted rate?
It's an awful lot to lose but if I could get half the cost back I'd be happy!

I see a lot of people do this just on Facebook, they always get snapped up.
Ask your friends to share it.

I’ve only heard of passenger names being changeable if there was an error. Like say you put in Jackie Smith when your Passport says Jacqueline Smith.
I’ve not heard of any non refundable plane tickets or holiday packages where you can actually change the person going.

Some nonrefundable holidays can be changed to different dates for a change fee. Have you considered that?

@AP5Diva No you can pay a fee £50/60 and get the flights transferred to someone else's name.

@AP5Diva complete / passenger changes are common place, especially for the likes of TUI who have a lot of their own charter flights and will have allocations on scheduled flights with other airlines.

I work for a Tour Operator and it's no problem for us to change a passenger even on a non-refundable flight. We just charge an admin fee for the time it takes.

Even easyJet let you change a seat passenger name, subject to charges.

This is Tui. They wouldn't give me a voucher/credit note to use next year but suggested themselves to sell them on, it's £25 for a name change.
I've seen a couple of online sites who operate an eBay style flight sell/buy but the reviews are very poor.
What sort of percentage of the cost should I hope to sell them for?

Wow. How did I not know this? This is really useful to know.
