I keep seeing lovely photos of the beaches popping up in my Instagram as I’ve been looking at various holiday ideas. What’s it actually like? Are there interesting places to visit and see as well as the lovely beaches?

It’s stunning, especially the Esmeralda coast. You definitely need a car and hiring/chartering a boat to get to the best beaches is a must.

Thank you for replying. That’s something to think about, I’ve never hired a boat before!

The beaches are stunning. There's some great history to look at.
Food can be quite expensive.
Some of the most popular beaches are rammed in summer

Yes, it absolutely is. It's stunning. And the food is amazing.

Not Sardinia, but Corsica. One of my most memorable holidays. Amazing food in particular.

It's one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Ever.

I don't know if it's true, but the person I was with told me that you can see the highest concentration of shooting stars from there. We sat out watching the stars, and genuinely seemed to see one every ten minutes. So, that either happens everywhere, and I've never noticed, or it's true, because we certainly saw lots.

Sardinia has beautiful beaches and we found the people very friendly. It's very family friendly. Corsica has amazing beaches on the west coast.

Sardinia is amazing, you'll never forget it, it's mesmerising, the people are incredible the food out of this world.
Especially alghero, and oristano.
Be careful in August, full of Italians from the mainland.
