Hi my son and his friends are going on their first independent holiday to Ibiza . They seem to have nominated DS to book but he has ADHD and gets really stressed so it’s down to me . Any recommendations for hotels in this area suitable for young people but not a total dosshouse . Thanks

What’s the budget?

sandgrown · 19/04/2023 10:51

About £700/£800

Ibiza town has very few hotels. Look at San Antonio for that budget and age group.

Why Ibiza town? Most youngsters would head to San Antonio?

Look at Cala de Bou for hotels

Don’t look in Ibiza Town. It’s not the best place for nightlife if that is what they are looking for. Shopping is ok but I’m not sure 20 year old boys would be going for the shops. Hotels are limited and it doesn’t have a beach. The nearest beach to Ibiza Town is Playa d’en Bossa.
Playa d’en Bossa is where most stay. It’s just 10 mins taxi from Ibiza Town or 30 mins walk.
The best clubs, bars and beach are in Bossa. Some clubs in Ibiza Town but most are in Bossa.

They wanted to be near the big clubs and San Antonio seems a distance away . I will look at Playa d’en Bossa . Thanks for the advice everybody

we used to always stay in Hotel Simbad in talamanca bay. 3km from town. Really easy to get to all the key places and clubs. Not been for a few years though

sandgrown · 19/04/2023 14:56

Thank you @rogueone i will look at that one

Playa den Bossa or taxi from San Antonio to the clubs approx 20 euros. Depending on time of year there are also party buses. Playa den Bossa is smarter and more international, think beach clubs etc. San An...well at 20 you might love it. Ibiza town is expensive for anything decent and will be so hot in the summer with few hotels having pools etc.

countdowntonap · 19/04/2023 21:02

Don’t worry about San Antonio being away from the big clubs - that’s what the Disco bus is for!! Huge coaches that run through the night to take the youngsters to and from the clubs.
Food and drink in San Antonio and Bossa will be cheaper than Ibiza Town. There are no clubs in I iza Town either, other than Pacha which is a bit of a walk from everywhere else.

If they won’t have €50 each per night to get into the super clubs, then €20 per drink (€12 for water), they’re better off staying in one of those resorts where there is plenty of very late nightlife in the bars and smaller ‘clubs’.

Please don’t send your 20 year old to Talamanca. I’ve been there and loved it, but it’s not for a 20 year old lads holiday.

All of the attached are in San Antonio central bar area, most with pools, all less than £860 for the week for the ROOM - so less than your budget. Just need to book flights.

Reviews of 7+ on Booking.com will be absolutely fine for what they’re looking for.
