DH & I have holidays 30 Oct to Nov 5th & want to take the dc 9 & 11 on a European city break. We had initially planned a Christmas Market but we couldn't get coordinating dates. This actually suits at the dc will have their mid term also. Would there be any European city that would be wintery & Chrissmassy the start of November.. We'd be there for Halloween also!

I think that's a big no. While you will find store with decorations and food you won't find anything market or activity wise. I don't think you will find lots of wintery weather either.

I would look more into finding something where you do Halloween or just look for a city you want to explore.

Spend a long weekend in Billund and do the Lego things - the kids are just the right age.

Assuming that you can fly Sat. 28th Oct, you could do the Halloween Weekend at Legoland, Billund on Sunday 29th. Normally Day 2 would be Lego House, but that is closed on Monday 30th Oct, so instead take a bus trip to Vejle and see the Økolariet and go shopping, and then spend a day at the Lego House on Tuesday 1st Nov. If you have the whole week, spend a day or two in Aarhus and see the Old Town museum, Mosegaard, AROS and maybe take the train to Randers to the Randers Regnskov (rain forest domes with plants and animals) that is 5 minutes from the station.

Stay at the Lego Hotel , or for more activities, Lalandia.
