Help with Searching for a villa holiday

This is my first time starting a new thread so be gentle on me!

we usually holiday in the U.K. love camping and holiday parks but I’d like to take the kids somewhere warm next May half term (2024). I like the idea of having a villa with private pool and close to beaches and shops. They’ll be around 8 and 12 then.

I'm not sure where to start really and what the best options are! Is it best to book the whole package or book the villa then flights when they are released?

If anyone has any top tips or what not to do that would be much appreciated.

I prefer to book the villa and then flights separately but there are advantages to getting a package. I've used villaplus.com in the past and they have a good selection with pools. My tip would be to get one with a really good sized pool or it will be too small for them to properly swim in.

We've booked with villa plus this year for the villa and then flights with ryanair

Last year our flights were with easyjet.

Have also had holidays with flight included in the package- think that was with James Villas

We've used Sun hat Villas twice now for the Algarve and have been really happy with them. We booked our own flights (Ryan air to Faro) and found everything went really smoothly.
