Going to New York with 4.5 month old and 2.9yo little boy very soon. Do you have any tips? Anything I need to watch out for?
Do you think I can get away with taking my bulky Phil&Ted or should I take my buggy with buggyboard instead?

I would take buggy and a sling personally. You'll never get a P&T in a NY taxi boot for a start. Also, you tend to walk a lot in NY, so 2.9 yo may need to be in the buggy.
Queues at immigration can be awful, so be prepared to be hanging around there for an hour when you get to NY.
Don't be distracted by anyone as you go to the taxi rank. The only real ones are the yellow ones in the line. Loads of hustlers will try to get you to go with them.
Tipping is very important, and you do it to everyone (all waiters, taxi drivers, doormen). 20% seems to be normal these days.
Remember that sales tax (17%)is not included on the price tag.
Get hotel concierge to make on your map where you shouldn't go - areas change very fast.

Yes thanks, definitely taking the sling with me!
There seems to be loads of airports - which is the most convenient?

Newark is better than JFK, but tend to be more flights to JFK. Takes ages to get out there from Manhattan.

Hiya - Have you gone yet? If not, I'll send some tips.
