Saint-Malo restaurants with toddlers?

Just that, really. We’re arriving in Saint-Malo on the ferry in a few weeks‘ time and would like to get lunch in town or on the coast. However we’re travelling with a small pack of under-4s whose etiquette is variable. Can anyone recommend any restaurants that wouldn’t be horrified by our arrival?

We spent several holidays around St Malo and the coast when our DC were 2-7ish. Can't remember any specific places but also can't remember it being a problem anywhere....

Creperies always pretty welcoming of kids, we also had a lovely meal somewhere along walls of st Malo - DC had pizza shaped like sunshine, we had standard French brasserie type stuff.

Even in smaller places it was ok - we had lunch outside at a quayside restaurant in a little port town just along coast and because we were sitting alongside pavement and hustle and bustle, anything our children did, didn't really stand out.

We took our two when they were little. All the restaurants are just tourist places. They won't blink at small children.

Honestly it's just rows of mussel restaurants where its a set menu with chips and then crepe for pudding. You'll be fine.

Then down to the beach to work off some energy.

Thank you both so much! Deeply reassuring responses.

All restaurants do kids menus. Kids are always welcome but do not run around restaurants in France. I always had crayons in my bag and the paper placemats were their colouring books. Or quiet toys if more age appropriate and I always left as soon as any behaviour took a downturn. Usually with pudding in hand.

Buffalo grill was a very good choice for my kids.

Youngest was 2 1/2 when we stayed in St Malo and it wasn’t a problem anywhere. Lovely place, have a great time!
