Algarve, corfu / other Greek islands

Does anyone have any recommendations for nice hotels in either corfu or the algarve? I need child friendly and good food - either restaurant(s) within the hotel itself or close to decent hotels. Have just come back from holiday where the food was terrible and I'm determined not to make the same mistake again!

Ideally close to the beach and not a huge complex.

Sorry I meant either decent restaurants in the hotel or close to decent restaurants.

We stayed at Monte Dourado, Algarve last summer. We went self catering and there are loads of good bars and restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Apartment was huge with a lovely garden. Beach close by. What I liked in particular is that there are around 5 pools spread out over the complex but only around 100 apartments so you can always get a sunbed ☺️

Stella palace in Crete, has several restaurants, on the beach, water park.
