Stroller friendly holiday in Greece?

Considering Greece for our first summer holiday with an 11 month old but can’t quite decide where to go and not sure if anywhere exactly meets what we want. Any ideas on somewhere that would have must of these things?

  • stroller friendly (not too many steps or at least a large flat area for strolling around) so we can take DD out for dinner in the evening in her stroller
  • some good tavernas/restaurants
  • attractive surroundings and still feels Greek at least to some extent so not a completely purpose built resort town
  • not catering too much to package tourism so no English pubs etc
  • on an island with direct flights from the UK or the mainland
  • not too far from some shallow sandy beaches (access by car OK)

Places we liked pre-baby include Naxos town, port towns on Serifos, Sifnos, Amorgos etc. Also liked Lindos (Rhodes) and Naoussa (Paros) so can be a bit touristy.

If you liked Naoussa and Lindos you'd love Skiathos Town. It's my favourite Island. Also check out Afritos in Halkidiki on the mainland. Lovely little town.

Rhodes Old Town

Elounda or Plaka are both lovely in Crete. Still lots of Greek charm and a real foodie place. Skopelos is also lovely and Kioni in Ithaca

Pefkos on Rhodes, Laganas on Zakynthos although it's very touristy, Kos on the whole. I'm trying to think where we took our kids. They enjoyed Naxos but they were a little bit older but not much. The resorts around Chania are pretty good for kids.
