Paris with best friend

Really want to do a 2/3 night stay in Paris with my best friend. Can anyone give any tips to reduce cost?

Two nights in Paris is really expensive. Has anyone stayed just outside of Paris, if so where did you stay?

Have you looked at ibis hotels, there’s loads of them all over Paris and usually budget friendly to share a room and split the cost.
