Nice small/boutique half board hotel in Canaries?

Could anyone recommend a nice smaller luxury hotel in the Canaries?

Last two years in Nov we’ve been to big TUI all inclusive/half board and have honestly really enjoyed just lounging by the pools and also did some whale watching etc.

However, this year DH got really awful food poisoning/Noro virus and I just know he won’t agree to go back to a big hotel. But I need some winter vitamin d!

Normally we go for quite small luxury B&Bs in the UK - and happy to pay appropriately. Does anyone have any good recs? I know there’s probably exactly the same risk of noro/food poisoning but it feels different doesn’t it. We’re child free and quiet rather than partying people

I haven’t personally stayed at any of these but I’ve stayed at quite a few other places listed on this site and I trust their recommendations

Actually I have stayed at Baobab suites but was with small kids so didn’t really try the restaurants!

Royal Marina Suites in Puerto Calero, Lanzarote. Gorgeous rooms with big balconies and lovely views, a short walk to the marina with a range of restaurants.
