Just musing really about a holiday destination for the 5 of us, possibly next April (Easter holidays). Will probably be the last of our family holidays as dc will be nearly 20, 18 and 12 - so far we have decided we want warmth, a bit of adventure and some relaxing days. Everyone else is up for spending a week somewhere and then travelling elsewhere for the second week (I envisage this to be in the same country just maybe a change of pace/scenery rather than changing countries!!), I’d prefer to just unpack and stay but happy to go with the flow.
So If you’ve had a far flung holiday with a mixture of ages, where did you go, would you recommend it and why/why not? We’ve really only done Europe altogether as a family together so really up for something a bit different. Budget of up to about 15K for flights and accommodation but excluding spending money.

How warm does it have to be? Japan is possible with that budget and Easter is early next year, it may coincide with cherry blossom.

Cambodia! Siem Reap for Angkor Wat and other Temples, Phnom Penh because it’s a cool city (and you can do the Killing Fields if you’re so inclined) and Koh Rong island for the beaches. It’s very affordable, the food is great (and varied) and the people are probably the friendliest anywhere.

Oh, and an increasing number of eco-type resort destinations (Mondulkiri, Cardommon Mountains) for jungles and wildlife.

What about south Korea? Fly into Seoul, the train down to Busan. Could also go to jeju island from there.

Cuba? You could do a two destination break. Either city and beach or two cities with one on the coast.

Havana is amazing but also Santa Clara and Trinidad worth a visit.

I've just booked Japan for November. It really looks like a great holiday for teens!
