Turkey and Rhodes

Has anyone combined Turkey (Dalaman Coast) and Rhodes in the same holiday? We’d like to attempt flying to Dalaman, spending a week there, and then getting the ferry to Rhodes to spend a week there. Anyone done this recently and have suggestion for where would be good to stay to access both airport/ferry ports? Looking for a nice AI in turkey for 7 nights, and will prob hire a car in Rhodes and stay in a few towns. Suggestions gratefully received.

ferry goes from Marmaris to Rhodes i dont know if you can book flexi tickets as we just did one day trip there and back but as its a commercial ferry i should imagine you can book the tickets you want restaurants are cheap enough in marmaris and to be honest the food is better we always go bed and breakfast as they are ok The intermar hotel is nice side sea view rooms breakfast was lovely but evening food was awful hence why we go B&B

Stay in marmaris if you can. Close to the port. We stayed the very far end of Marmaris strip and it was around a 30 minute journey to the port. 50 minute ferry trip over to Rhodes as a day trip. Ideal Prime Beach and Green Mature Diamond are nice in Marmaris. No recommendations for Rhodes as we did a day trip sorry. Airport transfer was around 90 minutes but we were the last drop off. You can arrange a private on that would be around 45 minutes but can be pricey.
