What should a toddler wear under UV suit?

We’re going on holiday soon & I’ve bought 2 Splashabout UV suits for our 16month old. Would you just put a disposable swim nappy underneath? Or do you think she needs a Happy Nappy as well?

Also, if we’re having an afternoon at the beach & she’s playing in the sand & sea, would you just leave her in a swim nappy the whole time? Or change her to a normal nappy & keep her out of the water?

Sorry I’m a bit new to swimming with a toddler & overthink everything!

Just the swim nappy will be fine. Happy nappies never seem very comfortable, plus it would be like wearing 2 swimming costumes.

If she's going to be in and out of the water, just use swim nappies and change them as appropriate.

Thank you, I thought a happy nappy too might be quite bulky but wasn’t sure if it was too risky without one!💩

I take it the splashabout suit isn’t one of the ones with the built in nappy? I know the ones without the legs have the nappy in them. I always put a happy nappy and disposable nappy under his suits on holiday when he was 10 months. Although abroad they don’t have the same double nappy rule they have in most pools here. Multiple times during the holiday they had to shut one of the pools due to an ‘incident’ 🙈 I think it was nearly every day. So think they would have been better with the double nappies!

I know the ones you mean but these haven’t got a nappy built in. They’re long sleeved & long legged to keep her a bit more protected from the sun.

Haha that’s exactly what I’m worried about, I don’t want to be that person who shuts the whole pool 🙈

@Jade2022 yeah that was my fear! I used to just take it all off when he came out the pool and put a normal nappy on and he’d sit in the shade in a hooded towel or zip up towel suit. The swim nappies just seem to leak pee if they wear them when not in swimming so for the extra hassle of taking it on and off I did it just to be extra careful
