Exotic Destinations that don’t break the bank

Anyone got any ideas on where to go next?
dp and I love snorkelling and quiet tropical islands. The Cook Islands have been our fave holiday. Would love to go to another Pacific island but I find the food poor and the cost maybe 2-3 times London prices.

Without considering flights, has anyone got any ideas on exotic destinations to go to that are reasonable when there?

Love love Thailand but went last year.

We loved the Secret Gilis in Lombok. We were also very impressed with the snorkelling and reef vibrancy in the northern Gilis, Nusa Penida and Amed (both Bali). We’ve been to the Cook Islands and Thailand and equally enjoyed Bali, although nothing quite beat the remoteness of the Cooks (although that was 16 years ago). Food quality in Bali was great, and if was still cheap (relatively speaking).
