America with covid vaccines with DC?

We’re due to go on holiday to the US in July. From what I can see, children under 18 do not need a covid vaccine certificate. Is that correct?

I've been to the US a couple of times this year and this is my understanding. You have to make a declaration in the UK before you leave saying that you will test / quarantine if they get symptoms whilst in the US.

Nobody checks anything at entry for the US when I went through NY and DC.
