Air Transat Club or BA Premium for London to Toronto?

Flying London to Totonto, can stretch to premium economy but sadly not business class. It's a similar cost for British Airways World Traveller Plus or Air Transat Club Class - looks to me like these are pretty similar, has anyone been on both?

I've only ever flown cattle class on that route, but can testify that BA provides a much better experience than Air Transat, every time.

Yes and I think BA is better. However the age of the plane makes a difference. I’ve had new and old planes with BA and old can be rubbish and no leg rest. Only done Transact twice and we were delayed both times and service was shocking!

Sounding positive for BA - that's good, Heathrow suits us better than Gatwick anyway

British Airways for sure. Air Transat is pretty grim.

We flew Air Transat to Canada last year.

It's basic, very basic.

Our flights were dirt cheap though so no complaints.

If you are able to spend "proper" money then definitely go for BA.

👍 thanks for the extra replies, it's reassuring to read. I assumed that 'club class' even on a no-frills airline would be better than premium economy so am glad I asked.

We took a short flight in Greece once - budget airline, can't remember which one.

They called the "premium class" passengers first (one of whom was someone we recognised from TV).

As it happened, we were seated behind this person when we eventually boarded.

They got a welcome drink but other than that the only difference was that on take off and landing the crew drew a small, thin curtain across the back of their seat just above the headrests.

Goodness knows how much extra they had paid for this.

From what I remember the AT planes are similar. Maybe you get headphones though (we didn't).
