Has anyone travelled to Lanzarote in the last week? We're due to fly tomorrow and there is a baggage handler strike.
Just wondered how long you had to wait for luggage.
Thanks

My understanding is only airlines using Swiss port are affected. I'm travelling next Thursday, the last day of strike action, with Easyjet. I can't find anything on their website. There is a notice from Jet 2 saying they will be affected.
Have a great holiday.

I flew home from Lanzarote a couple of weeks ago with and there were strikes on. The flight was delayed just over an hour and apparently this was due to having no staff to drive the bus from the terminal to the plane. No delays on the inbound flight although we were told there were strikes on then too.

We come home 30th March with tui and was there a week. Both ways luggage was fine. Waited about 20 mins after we got through security when we landed in Lanzarote.

We were there last week. Half an hour wait for baggage. Delayed an hour coming home.

We flew back from Lanzarote to Bristol on 30th March. Slight flight delay and half an hour wait for luggage but otherwise fine.

I waited at Heathrow T5 for over 2 hours last week and there wasn't even a strike. And every flight was the same it was a shambles

Arrived tonight. Long queue for passport control but moved quick and took 15 mins. Bags were already out by the time we got there. Quicker than any UK airport with no strike on!!
