I want a week of mild weather, pref on a beach in March. What's the nearest place I can go?

I really want to go somewhere warm-ish - does not have to be blisteringly hot, just bright and mild, with nice beaches and pref self catering villa. Any ideas? Don't want to fly too far with a wriggly toddler, and have a budget of around £1000 for two adults and one infant.

Fly to Nice and stay anywhere in the South of France from Cannes to the Italian border on the east. The weather is gorgeous. We are on the beach every day. Wriggly toddler of mine is loving it
