Has anyone been to Trieste Airport?

Travelling to Trieste in the summer and need to sort transport from the airport to the city. Has anyone used the bus? Are there bus stops at the airport? The trains are few and far between and would mean a 4 hour wait which I'd rather not do.

Are you sure about the trains? Or arriving very late?

We used the train last summer.

Thanks for your reply. Trenitalia is only showing trains at 21.25 and 21.55 on the day we travel in July. I'm wondering though if it's because it's so far ahead. I'll have to look again closer to the time.
Was the train easy?

Yes train was really easy. The station is linked to the airport by a walkway. 30 ish minute journey. Masks were still needed on Italian public transport last summer. Not sure if they still are.
Bus times are here. Bus station also within airport. Train is faster.
