where to look for villas walking distance from beach and city?

I am looking for a villa holiday with a group of approx. 12. I've found a lot of villas are out in the countryside and you need a hire car to get around, which isn't an option for our group, or you'd have to get taxis everywhere which we would rather avoid.

I've struggled to find any on a lot of the Greek islands, and have found that Albufeira in Portugal is a good option.

Does anyone have any recommendations of other areas to look in if I want to find a villa walking distance from the beach and a city/large town where there will be restaurants, bars, and clubs?

The Algarve, Portugal is your best bet for sure.

Malaga might be worth a look?

Cyprus?
Protaras had a lot of villas, not sure how big though.

Lagos, Portugal?

Mahon in Menorca could work. I’ve looked for similar in the past remember it looked promising. Not sure what the clubbing scene is like though.

Also, villas may be close to the city, but if the city is big, they will be far from the parts of the city you probably want to access so close to a town/resort that you like may work better.

Taormina, Sicily? I never went as a large group, but I remember a lot of largish residences nestled into the hill. More town than city, but has good nightlife. You take a cable car down to the beach (or walk if you're brave).

Plenty villas in Lanzarote, they often have heated pools too.

We've recently been... has a beautiful city centre and some lovely beaches.

All (theoretically) within walking distance... depending on where your accommodation is.

Just wondering if you found anywhere OP? I'm looking for next year, and there is so much out there but not too much information on the areas.
