Gran Canaria or Tenerife?

Hi

My friend and I want an all inclusive 7 night holiday at the end of May. Not party resorts but some life. Can anyone recommend a hotel please?
Thanks

Depends on your budget of course but Meliá de Isora on Tenerife is fab. If you go to Tenerife, you want to go to the South West and not the North or East as the weather is very different

Looks lush but out of out price range.

Gran Canaria is the best place I've ever been to! And travelled a lot! Excellent for family holiday

If you opt for Tenerife, Costa Adeje is a nice resort with a bit of night life and lovely beaches.

I'd also vote for Costa Adeje. I'd choose Tenerife every time over Gran Canaria.

A Tenerife voter here too. Been to Lanzarote and Gran Canaria before but would always go back to Tenerife. None of them are particularly cultural places, but the weather is consistently good all year round and there are lots of things to do.

Are those the only options? Playa Blanca in Lanzarote is great and so much to do on the island particularly if you appreciate art.

Another recommendation for Costs Adeje-lots of lovely hotels there

That hotel is incredible! Easily one of our favourite hotels from our travels, even if only for the food 😋

Have a look at Hotel suite Villa Maria. It's really lovely. Not as expensive as some others.

Another Costa Adeje vote- I am going there in a couple of weeks for the 3rd time! Del duque area.

We've been several times to Puerto Rico on gran canaria staying at morasol suites
It is very hilly but morasol is by the harbour
There are nice restaurants along the beach the main shopping and restaurant area is really busy and not as good quality
Also really pretty is Puerto de mogan but have only visited a couple never stayed

Playa Blanca in Lanzarote is a lovely medium-sized resort, which you can walk for miles along the coastal path from one end of to the other, with beautiful beaches and great eating places along the way. Good all inclusive hotels to check out include: Princess Yaiza (though v v pricey), Hotel Volcan, Natura Palace and Iberostar.

Gran Canaria is great. stick to the south, melanores is great. neighbours onto maspalomas if you're into the gay scene/naturism. good casinos too if you're into that. the gay dunes are a big swinging zone so best avoid that if its not your thing! but melanores is very nice and no nudity there :)

@whatsyourpoison12 sorry a bit of a Gran Canaria derail.Looking to maybe book next year at Playa del Ingles. It says its LGBTQIA inclusive , which is of course fine, but I'm now a bit worried about naked gay sand dunes and swinging in the vicinity- is that likely to be a thing at Playa del Ingles ?

nudity is widely accepted on the beaches. personally to be safe would go to Melanores and go no further east of the area than Maspalomas lighthouse, there's a small beach area right beside it which is family friendly. just don't go any further to avoid the nudists/public sex.
