Anyone else sick of misleading Airbnb reviews??

The 'guesthouse' place I'm atm is supposedly 'perfect', 'very clean', 'amazing'... at least 5 reviewers have emphasised how 'clean' it is...

In reality it's dump... everything's stained/chipped/broken/dirty/grubby... cobwebs and stains everywhere (except the bed thank god). Either these reviewers have incredibly low standards or they're lying... possibly paid off by the owner, or guilt-tripped into not leaving a bad review? Who knows.

Getting really sick and tired of these stupid unreliable Airbnb reviews.... can't stand the culture of giving everything 5 stars on Airbnb.... just say it how it is ffs! I'm happy paying lower prices for a fleapit, just tell me it's a fleapit and not the Ritz.

Anyone else tired of this?

I’ve personally never had that issue. The places we’ve stayed in have had good reviews and we’ve left glowing reviews too.

We had it once - it was a total lie about where the property was. But it was a Greek island and we were pretty much stuck.
I did complain to Airbnb. And left polite feedback. My rating was still good.

I've use Airbnb quite a bit and I've been really lucky that I've only ever had fantastic experiences.

That sounds very unlike my experiences with AirBnB. I have stayed in 4 or 5 places in the past few years and they have always been as described or better. Sounds like you have been very unlucky!

take videos and complain. If you’ve paid on a credit card you can do a charge back.
